Book Review: Forgetting The Unforgettable...

“Forgetting the Unforgettable… It’s hard to move on…” is written by Abhishek Agarwal and is published by Mahaveer Publications. Talking about the title of the book, yes I liked the title very much. I could relate to it. Everyone knows how hard it is to forget someone, who was once supposed to be your life.  I have personally felt that.

Cover of the book is indeed eye soothing. In fact, it is the best thing about the book. Moving ahead in the review, I felt little disappointed with the book as soon as I started reading it. The story telling skills weren’t that impressive. Still, Abhishek managed somehow to make me turn pages one after the other. The story revolves around “Akshay” and “Tritya”. Both are College students and meet each other in Inter-College Competition. Akshay is good at Football and on the other hand, “Tritya” sings well.

Characterization:  Abhishek tried his best to characterize “Akshay” and “Tritya well. On one side, he portrayed Akshay as a cool hunk and on the other side; Tritya was a bubbly girl. She was sweet and innocent. As sweet as her singing.
Plot: Plot was good. Abhishek Agarwal tried his best to explain the UNCONDITIONAL Love. It was a genuine attempt. He decorated the whole book with numerous quotes. I loved few of them. At some places he interacted with the readers . I would suggest him to avoid it in the next book, as it harms the flow of story. I felt distracted. I kept turning pages to find some twists and turns. The story gripped from 158th page. First 157 pages weren't so interesting. However, it is a story in its own kind.

Teaser: Last few pages are beautifully written. Initially the book would be little boring, but it’s a genuine attempt. I liked the poems. One would definitely want to fall in love after reading.

First chapter of the book is copied from Subhasis  Das's 'Mumbai Unplugged'. People like Abhishek Aggarwal are shame for our Industry.
