People Die,
Still they acquire the softest part of our heart as well as our life. They live
in us.

“I don’t
know what to present you as a gift. I thought of every single possibility, Dark
chocolates, teddy bears, Archie cards, even a handmade card carrying our
pictures. You know I am too bad at making cards. So, I made this CD, my entire
life with you is embraced within it. I know it sounds stupid. But, this was the
best present I could gift you. My life is all yours,” said the CD, revolving in
Megha’s laptop.
The message
disappeared with animations and then a whole new stream of text appeared on the
screen.
Chapter-1 ‘How two idiots met?’
It was
another boring day of Ansh’s life. He had his IPCC Exams few weeks later.
Still, he managed to kill his time on Facebook as well as his Blog. Which
hardly contained any blog post except love; He was a Love freak and maybe
that’s why he had a huge readership of cute girls. He was just about to click
the log-out button, but a new message pulled him back. Messages(1) can make you
feel too happy sometimes.
“I
was reading your blog and it’s beautiful. Your articles touch me. :-) ”
Ansh saw the
message and thought of replying to it later. But that sweet little smiley at
the end convinced him to drop a ‘Thank you,’ in response.
“Are you a
CA student? I am pursuing for CA too” Another message popped just few seconds
later his message got delivered.
Normally Ansh would have ignored it
but it took his attention and he replied.
“Yes sadly. Can’t I be a CA student?”
“You don’t look like one. Normally,
they all are bookworms unlike you. Killing time on FaceBook and posting those
romantic stories.”
“No, I wasn’t killing time. I was just
checking my new Feeds. Oh no, you are right. I killed my five hours. L”
“Lol, happens. You can go and study
now.”
“Yeah but after I find my book,”
“You have lost it. Come we will study
together,” Megha chuckled.
“Oh wait I found The Notebook by
Nicholas Sparks. I will read this,”
“Which is your favorite book?” he
asked back and then the conversation continued for almost 12 hours. It was
supposed to continue some more but Ansh slept while talking to her at thirty
past three in the morning. It was sweet. He never wanted to say bye but his
eyes ultimately gave up.
Eventually they became friends. They
travelled the journey of calling each other with decent names to pathetic names
like Migu, Kamina and yeah the weirdest one CHAMKO BAI. Even Ansh didn’t know
what it meant. It was a weird name and this fact was enough to award Megha with
this title.
Facebook conversations shifted to
watsapp conversations. “Are you on watsapp?” Nowadays asking for a girl’s
number has became so easy. They exchanged numbers, reaching another milestone
of their newly built friendship.
“Today we spent 15 hours together, and
rest of the time you were sleeping,” Ansh poked.
“I just slept few hours” Megha
Offended.
“8 hours you slept dear,”
“So what haan? But, seriously we spent
15 hours talking to each other” Megha thought of counting the hours, but then
she dropped the idea because she was too lazy to do it.
“What if I disappear from your life
someday, without telling you?” Ansh asked in a serious tone.
“I won’t die that’s for sure,”
“I knew it. You won’t even miss me.
Hadd hai yaar,”
“What? Stop being so silly. You aren’t
going anywhere,”
“If you will go, you will find me
there next to you.”
Stars twinkle above, rivers flow aside,
Life is so beautiful when you walk beside..
Life is so beautiful when you walk beside..
Nothing seemed so true, so scenic,
An unknown stranger, seems so genic.
An unknown stranger, seems so genic.
.
There is something in-between,
An untouched ribbon of destiny, which bound.
Closer to make hearts, inseparable
No Love Lost-No Love Found.
An untouched ribbon of destiny, which bound.
Closer to make hearts, inseparable
No Love Lost-No Love Found.
In no time the memories of their
beautiful past flashed in front of her eyes making them damp. She could clearly
see the snapshots of their first conversation on Face Book, to the pictures of
them together when they first met. Those were the beautiful times they had
spent together. What did Ansh wanted to convey through this CD? Why he escorted
Megha to the times they first met? She did not know. She was oscillating
between various shades of emotion of hers. Those snapshots over the screen made
her weep even harder.
She paused the playing video and dropped
herself on the floor. She tried to refrain herself from memorizing Ansh and his
dreadful dead body which she had seen just few moments before but Ansh’s
present seemed to be a ‘present’ packed with emotions and feelings which were
left unsaid by him. May be this CD was the only way through which Megha could
know his heart throbbing feelings and the pain he went through until few
moments ago he was breathing his life.
Every conversation of them which
flaunted over the screen happily, murdered Megha’s soul every second.
Sometimes, people are so busy with their happiness that they fail to notice
someone cry. Same mistake was committed by Megha, she failed to notice the pain
which Ansh was going through. If only Megha was there by Ansh’s side during the
moment results were been declared, he would have been breathing his life now.
But till the time we realize that “If”, life takes a U turn and snatch the moment
from you leaving you helpless, full of guilt and regrets for all this life.
Same guilt was killing Megha. Why was
she not there by Ansh’s side when he needed her the most? Why she did not
bother to give a call to him and ask him if he was fine? Why was she busy
celebrating her happiness? With every WHY her soul crushed and shattered into
millions of pieces. The guilt was so profound that she wanted to kill herself
instantly in the same painful manner as Ansh killed himself. She pressed the
glass bottle placed nearby into her palms with all her force. All she wanted to
do was to hurt herself, hurt herself so deeply and severely that the guilt in
her heart reduces and allows her to breath.
Eventually the bottle cracked and her
skin rubbed against it harder making the blood to squeeze out of her palm but
her stoic eyes did not show the effect of physical pain. May be because the
pain her heart was going through was much more than her bleeding palm. She
wiped her tears and dragged herself closer to the laptop, pressed the play
button and a new slide popped up the screen. Well that was nothing but chapter
two of their life which they have lived years ago. Her lips widened into a
smile and her crying eyes sparkled all over again…
