No Love Lost-No Love Lost, Part-4

The screen came back to life as soon as Megha pressed the play button. The next chapter of their life spent together flashed in front of her eyes. After they moved to same city for their further studies, almost every hour of the day they were together, either in their article ship, or in the nearby coffee shop. They were under the books all the time but being with each other reduced the burden of stress from their shoulders.

Her weeping eyes twinkled as she broke into laughter on seeing the picture of them together where Ansh flaunted his yucky legs wearing Megha’s newly adopted skirt. Every picture that passed by expressed the strong and beautiful bond they shared over these years. As soon as the slides of picture came to an end, a slide with text appeared on the screen. She squeezed her eyes to drain the last drop of tear out of it and read the displayed text gradually with her broken heart.

“Megha, a sweet little name that came into my life few years back, I always believed that people come into our lives for a reason, and you came into my life being a reason for me to live. The day you first messaged me on Face Book, who knew would become the most fortunate and cherished day of my life.

I shifted to Mumbai leaving my family behind just because of you. The reason was only our togetherness. I never regretted my decision and I never will because the moments of laughter spent together are one of the most cherished moments of my life. I met a lot many girls in my life but you were the one who gave me goose bumps every time by your wit and charm. I was falling for you right then but you failed to notice my feelings.

I remember that night when I called you up at three just to tell you how much you mean to me and how much I love you but all you could say is, ‘Ansh stop being a kid. Be practical, we’re just friends and we are meant to be so. Whatever you feel for me is just attraction and infatuation and nothing else. Please don’t bring this crap of love in between of our wonderful friendship’.

Your words left me speechless that day. You called my love for you as an infatuation? How could you? Every word of yours pinched my heart and killed it bit by bit. But then, I respected what you said and never expressed that how much I love you. I waited for you to realize your love for me but one day, you surprised me with the worst news of my life. Mohit. You met him on Face Book and claimed to be in love with him. You changed my world. You ignored my feelings but I never gave up on you. I was always there by your side when you needed me the most. I never left you alone knowing the fact my love is in love with someone else.

But today, as I type this text for you, I realize you were never there for me. The result is still in front of my eyes over the screen flashing the failure of my life in bold letters. FAIL, is the only word I see. Today my dreams, ambitions, love and hope everything had crashed. I have no reason to live. My eyes are still going towards the phone only to see if you have called but then you are busy celebrating your happiness I suppose.

I would never be a hindrance in your life. I will better go away, forever this time, may be to a new destination but I won’t go without saying my last words. I always loved you and I’ll always do. Have a good life with Mohit. Good Bye”.

She read and felt suffocated. Her wrist had squeezed out every blood drop out of her body. Her eyes had squeezed every tear drop out of her. She was empty. She wanted to live with Ansh and dying was the only way to meet Ansh in a different dimension. She knew what she was doing. She was leaving her life, so that her soul can meet her Ansh. She wanted to be his soul mate, after death and the last breath.

She always had Ansh’s love in front of her eyes, but she always ignored. How could he lose the love which she never wanted in her life? The moment Ansh pulled back his love; she realized what it meant to her.

Her eyes were swelling. She was on the verge to lose her life. Blood painted all around on the floor. Still, she pushed herself to play the next part of CD.

All of the sudden she heard some noise out of her PG’s window. It was sound of a Car. Not an ordinary car, but its sound resembled to that of Ansh’s Car. She tried to stand on her legs and peep outside but she had no power left to move her pale and lifeless body. All she could do was to sit motionless in front of her laptop.

<Knock> <Knock>

Someone knocked her door. Who was he? Was he Ansh? No, it couldn’t be Ansh, he was in some other dimension, waiting for her to come and say, “Ansh, I was wrong. Love was never meant to be practical. I love you.”

<Knock> <Knock>

“Come on, open the door,” A guy shouted from other side.

A guy in a girls P.G.? His identity was still a mystery. Was he the PG’s owner? Or maybe the Police, doing investigation about Ansh or maybe Ansh’s soul to take Megha away with it, the latter option seemed baseless but then someone was right there…
