The Candy of Humanity

I looked at the little kid trying to climb the counter at the candy shop. The only aluminum coin fell down from his little palms, as soon as he jumped to the fullest and reached the counter. He climbed-up abruptly, hurting his knees.

His eyes astonished as if it was a heaven for him. The counter was decorated with different boxes of candies wrapped in attractive glittery wrappers, chocolates put in the rows in display shelf. Shopkeeper smiled, looking at the innocent blue eyes, full of desires.

After inspecting all the boxes apparently he chose 2 candies wrapped in green wrapper and a chocolate. He then noticed his empty hands, when he tried to pay for the candies he bought. The coin was still resting on the floor, unnoticed. He knew he had lost the money.

Shopkeeper saw him and then looked around to check the money. It wasn't there.

"I don't need candies," The kid fumbled.

Shopkeeper refused to take back the candies. He wanted to forgo the amount and give him the candies and chocolate for free.

Kid was unhappy that he couldn't pay the shopkeeper. Kid didn't want to take the candies but later he accepted. He put the candies in his pants and climbed down the counter. As soon as he jumped down, he noticed the coin at the corner.

He took the coin in his palms and said "Uncle, I found the money. Please take it..."

Shopkeeper smiled at him and accepted the one rupee coin. The kid was unaware of the fact that that the candies he bought were much more expensive than the face-value of the coin. He gave him the money and stepped out of the shop, unwrapping one candy. He was happy that he finally paid for the candies.

Shopkeeper then looked at me and we both smiled. We both knew something really good happened there...

Moral: No matter how much you can give, Just be truthful in giving because sometimes we have no idea that how much we will have to give, we just promise to be truthful and honest.

PS: Candies are the friends we choose and shopkeeper is God. Be truthful in making relations and God almighty will gift you with something more than you deserve.
